RoLanka’s completely biodegradable erosion control blankets for temporary and moderate erosion problems. Natural fibers in these blankets are stitched together with biodegradable jute thread on top and bottom (2 nets). They are wildlife safe and provide aesthetically pleasing applications. All these 3 erosion control blankets are available in 8 ft. by 112.5 ft. roll size.
The BioD-OCF blanket is composed of a layer of 0.25 in thick 100% mattress coir fiber. This blanket is the most durable blanket in this group and lasts for 24 months. It is perfect for protection of sandy soil conditions such as beach restoration, wetland restoration, moderate streambank restoration, moderate slopes, and low flow channels.
Another blanket for temporary erosion control is our BioD-StrawCoco blanket. This mat consists of 70% wheat straw and 30% coconut fiber. It will last 18 to 24 months while providing support for vegetation. Lastly, our BioD-Straw is designed for erosion protection and will last up to 12 months while providing support for vegetation.
