Woven Jute erosion control blanket
Temporary natural fiber soil erosion control blanket
JuteMat blanket is completely biodegradable and does not contain any synthetic materials to harm wildlife.
JuteMat is a woven erosion control blanket manufactured from Jute fiber. This is a temporary, low strength soil erosion control blanket. JuteMat is woven from spun jute yarns. It is 100% biodegradable and lasts for about 6 – 9 months. It is an economical, biodegradable short-term erosion control mat for regular erosion control. This should not be used in stormwater channels or on steep slopes. Available in 4 ft wide 225 ft long (1.2 m wide, 68.6 m long) rolls.
Special note
There is a big confusion that Jute fiber and coconut fiber are same. They are two completely different products. Jute fiber is processed from jute plants, not a by-product. Coir fiber is a renewal natural resource and a by-product from coconut industry. Jute fiber has low strength compared to coconut fiber. Coir fiber is stronger and durable than jute fiber.
