RoLanka’s BioD-Medium is a natural, biodegradable by-products from the coconut fiber industry. This natural coir potting soil is used for nurseries, landscaping, and soil bioengineering applications.
This product is the coir pith (dust) which is left over particles from the extraction of fiber from fresh water cured coconut husks. Aged coir pith has properties sustainable for promoting seed germination plant growth.
When using this BioD-Medium there is a 50% root growth. If roses are planted in coir pith a higher production of roses can be achieved. RoLanka’s BioD-Medium is completely organic which makes it an excellent reptile bedding, a medium for worm cultures, and an insulation for plants during the winter.
The BioD-Medium comes in 11 lbs. blocks, 2 oz disks, and a 22 lbs. bales. The bales are available in 10% moisture and 40% moisture. The 10% moisture bale comes very compacted and is a dry bale – which you must mix with water before using. The 40% moisture comes as a wet bale which means that it comes ready to use.
The BioD-Medium is environmentally friendly, has excellent ability to retain nutrients, and enables root development. It also reduces crop attrition, ensures air and moisture retention, and reduced nursery time for plants. There are many benefits to using this BioD-Medium when planting and/or with animals.
