BioD-Block is an excellent tool for soil bio engineering applications and successful vegetated soil-lift construction.
The BioD-Block system is made of densely packed mattress coir fibers with an attached woven coir blanket.
The blanket is attached to the coir block on three out of four sides, leaving the fourth side open to fill with dirt.
It is offered in two heights, (12in. and 16in.). The 12 in. tall coir block is 5 in. thick and the 16 in. tall coir block is 9 in. thick. Both coir blocks come in 10 ft. long sections.
The BioD-Block provides better support to soil, constant layer heights and makes construction of fabric wrapped soil layers easier.
Each block has a male and female end, making it easy for the BioD-Block to connect and be installed.
The improved BioD-Block system has invisible holes plugged with a coir fiber which is perfect for planting.
Live planting can be inserted into the hole after the coir fiber plug is easily pulled out.
This product provides much longer protection to the face of soil lifts from the thick coir fiber block compared to soil wraps with fabrics only.
