Introducing the new and improved BioD-Weedmat™—a one of a kind natural and biodegradable (organic) weed control mat that provides protection from unhealthy weed accumulation. BioD-Weedmat™ is made of needle-punched mattress coir pad with spray of natural latex on the top and bottom of the mat. The effectiveness of coir weed control mat can be attributed to its robust construction. All these subtle factors combine to raise the potency of the final product and easily makes the BioD-Weedmat™ one of the organic weed control mats commercially available today.
The 0.4-inch-thick weed mats are available in individual mats as well as in rolls. Each weed mat has a 2 in (5 cm) center cut and a split for easy application around trees. Weed mat rolls provide one-step erosion control, weed control mulching in perennial slope landscaping. This natural coir pad is excellent to control weeds in tree plantations and perennial slope landscaping. With time, the coir weed mats biodegrade and provide mulch. Coir weed mats and weed mat rolls can easily be installed with wooden wedges or metal staples.
Since coir fiber is a good substrate for plants, it is very important to install these mats on cleaned weed free surfaces.
